Due to Britain's exit from the European Union there is now a VAT charge on all orders into the European Union from the UK. Previously this had only been on orders with a value of 22-150 Euros.
Whilst many platforms (e.g. Etsy) have integrated these costs into their technology, this is not possible to do with this site at present.
Atypical curiosities is a stand-alone e-commerce website hosted by Big Cartel, as opposed to a marketplace platform.
As such I will be using the Delivered Duties Unpaid (DDU) method. This means that your VAT and customs charges will be applied once your order enters your country, and you will be required to pay this before the item is released to you.
You will be notified of these charged by your shipping handler.
